No. The first course starts with a shuffled pack: what the suits are worth, what a trick is, how the auction works. If you can hold thirteen cards, you can start.

Yes. The first lesson is free and open with no account and no card details. If you like it, save your progress with your email at the end.

However suits you. We can email you a sign-in link: tap it and you're in, nothing to remember, and you never need a password at all. If you'd rather use a password, set one and sign in with it instead. Google works in one click too. And if you ever forget a password, the email link still gets you in.

Any reasonably recent browser on a phone, tablet or computer: Safari on iPad, Chrome on Android, Edge or Chrome on Windows, and so on. There's nothing to install.

Not yet. Bridge Unlocked works fully in your browser today, on any device. Native apps are planned; your account and progress will carry straight over.

Yes. Sign in with the same email on the device you practised on, and your progress imports into your new account automatically. We'll email you a confirmation when it's saved.

Give it a minute or two, then check your spam or junk folder; sign-in emails from a new sender sometimes land there. Still nothing? Request a fresh link from the sign-in screen (and if you've set a password, you can simply sign in with that instead), or try a different email address. If it keeps happening, contact us and a person will sort it out.

Learning as a pair? Each of you needs your own free account: two records means two streaks and no arguments. Your level, bidding system and progress are one per account, so sharing one would muddle both your records. If setting up a second email address is the hurdle, contact us and we'll happily walk you through it.

Yes. Email link or password, your choice. Set a password when you join, or any time afterwards in your account page, and sign in with it wherever you like. Prefer no password at all? The email link works forever. And if you ever forget your password, the email link signs you in anyway, so you're never locked out.

Bridge has rules, and software is very good at rules. Before content reaches you it passes an automated verification suite: every deal machine-checked against the rules of bridge, 38,000+ automated checks, covering legal auctions, correct counts and sound card play. The teaching is human; the safety net is automatic.

Tell us that when you join and we'll suggest the Improver course, with two honest alternatives: a quick run through the Beginner course, or search for exactly the topic that's rusted. Nothing is forced; the whole curriculum stays browsable.

That's yours to set. The Beginner course takes you from nothing to playing full deals, in lessons of a few minutes each; a steady half hour most days gets people to the table faster than they expect. There's no clock and no deadline anywhere.

Yes. Review anything, any time; your record only ever moves forward.

They're the two most common bidding styles. ACOL is what most clubs in Ireland and the UK play. Strong No-Trump with 5-card majors is standard in much of the rest of the world and in most online games. Bridge Unlocked teaches both, properly, as separate complete paths.

If you'll play in an Irish or UK club, choose ACOL. If you'll mostly play online internationally, choose Strong No-Trump with 5-card majors. Not sure? There's a 30-second comparison when you join, and switching later is safe: progress in each system is kept separately.

Yes. Switch in Settings whenever you like. Your progress in each system is kept separately, so nothing is overwritten or lost.

Free is a real plan, not a teaser. And during our free beta month, everything is open to everyone; when the beta ends, this is the plan that stays free, and everything you've done stays saved.

No. You only enter payment details if and when you choose Plus.

Nothing bad. Your progress is never deleted for commercial reasons. You keep your record and the free plan's access; come back to Plus whenever you like and everything is where you left it.

Within 14 days of starting any new subscription: yes, in full, no questions. After that, contact us, we are reasonable.

Your account and progress are stored on our own servers in Europe, never sold, never shared for advertising. You can download everything as a file from your account page, and you can delete your account there too; deletion is real and permanent.

No ads, no ad trackers, no social media pixels. We measure our own site with our own first-party analytics, without advertising cookies. The details are in the privacy notice.

For annual plans, yes, always. We email you 14 days before any annual renewal with the exact amount, the date it falls, and a cancel link. If you do nothing, your plan simply continues at the price you signed up at. Monthly plans renew month by month, with a receipt for every payment in your account.

While you stay subscribed, your price never goes up. If prices rise in future, the new prices apply to new subscribers; yours stays where it started for as long as your subscription runs.

We built for you deliberately: large readable text, big touch targets, no time pressure anywhere, and everything works with a keyboard or a screen reader. We work to WCAG 2.1 AA, and our accessibility statement says exactly where we stand. If anything trips you up, tell us and we'll fix it.

Not yet. Bridge Unlocked today is single-player: you, the courses, and an engine-checked table. Playing against other people, with clubs and friendly competition, is on the roadmap, and the foundations are already in the build. Tick product news in your account settings to hear the day it arrives.

No. There is no money at the table anywhere in Bridge Unlocked, and never will be. Bridge is a game of skill and partnership; we teach the game.
