Terms of service.

Plain terms for using Bridge Unlocked: what we promise you, and what we ask in return.

Last updated 12 August 2026

1. Who and what.

Bridge Unlocked is a bridge teaching service: lessons, practice, play, the Daily Deal and the quiz. It is operated by NJM Marketing Ltd, registered in Ireland, VAT number 4389673PH. These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the agreement between you and us. If anything here is unclear, ask us and a person will explain it plainly.

2. Accounts.

You sign in with your email address (an emailed link or an optional password, your choice) or with Google. Your email inbox is your key, so keeping access to it is your responsibility. One account per person: your level, bidding system and progress are one record each, and sharing an account would muddle them. You need to be at least 16 to hold an account.

3. Free plan and subscriptions.

The free plan is real and stays free; exactly what it includes may evolve, and the current inclusions are always listed on the pricing page. Bridge Unlocked Plus is billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our payment provider. Prices are shown at checkout and include VAT. Subscriptions renew on the same terms, and you can cancel any time in your account page, effective at the end of the period you have paid for.

While a subscription stays active its price never rises: renewals are at the price you signed up at, and we email you 14 days before any annual renewal with the exact amount, the date and a cancel link.

During any free beta period we declare, paid plans may be switched off and every feature opened without charge. When paid plans switch on, the progress you made during the beta stays saved, and the free plan’s inclusions apply from that day.

4. Refunds.

If you start a new subscription and change your mind, ask us within 14 days and we refund it in full, no questions (see clause 11 for the formal mechanics). Your statutory rights are untouched. Beyond them, refunds are at our discretion, and we lean towards the customer: contact us, we are reasonable.

5. Your progress.

Your learning record is never deleted for commercial reasons. Stop paying and everything you did stays saved on the free plan. You can export everything we hold about you as a file from your account page, and you can delete your account there too; deletion is real and permanent.

6. Fair use.

Bridge Unlocked is for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not scrape the service, extract content in bulk or by automated means, resell or republish anything from it, or use the content to build or deliver derivative teaching materials. You may not attempt to reach other users’ data.

7. Our content.

Copyright in all lessons, hands, deals and quiz content belongs to NJM Marketing Ltd. Your licence is personal, non-transferable and for your own learning; it does not permit reproduction, republication or teaching use.

8. Service changes and availability.

We aim high, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. If we ever remove a material feature from a paid plan, you get a pro-rata remedy for the unused part of what you paid.

9. Liability.

Our liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes anything the law forbids excluding.

10. Governing law.

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland and the Irish courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep every mandatory protection of the law of the country you live in.

11. Cooling off (your EU withdrawal right).

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of starting it, without giving any reason, under the Consumer Rights Directive (SI 484/2013 as amended). Our own policy sits above those mechanics and is more generous: a full refund within 14 days of starting any new subscription, on request, so no learner ever needs the form below to be treated fairly.

The mechanics, plainly: because a subscription starts delivering digital content straight away, checkout asks for your express request to begin immediately and your acknowledgement of how that affects the withdrawal right; you see that one-line acknowledgement in the checkout confirmation. To withdraw, tell us by a clear statement within the 14 days, through the contact page or by using the model form below. We refund using the same payment method you paid with, without undue delay.

Annex: model withdrawal form. Complete and send this only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

To NJM Marketing Ltd, Ireland (via the contact page):

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following service: Bridge Unlocked Plus subscription.

12. Termination for breach.

Accounts that breach clauses 6 or 7 (scraping, bulk extraction, republication, or commercial or teaching reuse of the content) may be suspended or closed. Where the breach looks honest, we warn first. Statutory consumer rights, the refund policy above and clause 5’s progress promise are untouched for everyone else.

Draft for review. Legal review before public launch.
